Sources, methods & editorial standards

Freezer Advisor publishes source-based commercial freezer buying guides and original purchasing tools for U.S. foodservice and grocery operators. The current guides are not hands-on product tests, installation approvals or expert-reviewed technical reports.

Who prepared the content?

The guides were prepared for Freezer Advisor with AI assistance for drafting, organization and visual production. No named technical expert has completed a review of this edition. We do not invent an author biography, field experience or an expert approval to fill that gap.

Three kinds of evidence

  • Official reference: a linked public source supports a specific point within its scope. It does not endorse this site.
  • Editorial framework: a buying sequence, comparison question or worksheet developed to organize a decision, not a measured result.
  • Illustrative calculation: arithmetic with displayed hypothetical inputs. It is not a market average, product specification or forecast.

Model-specific dimensions, permitted use, clearances and installation requirements must come from the exact equipment documentation and appropriate professional review. General guides cannot approve a particular site.

How we use images

The photograph-style equipment images in this edition are AI-generated representative scenes, clearly identified in their captions. They do not show actual installations, tested products, customers or identifiable brands. They must not be used to infer dimensions, certification, clearances or model performance.

Decision graphics are original explanatory diagrams, not installation drawings. A future hands-on review must include authentic evidence from the actual equipment; a generated image cannot substitute for that evidence.

What earns an expert-reviewed label?

A qualified, identifiable person must actually review the relevant content. The published record must state the reviewer, role, scope, review date and material corrections. A person agreeing to be named is not the same as a completed review. Technical safety, electrical, refrigeration and food-handling claims require appropriate professional input.

Sources and commercial relationships

The initial guide bodies link externally only to government or official organizational sources. Model documents can be requested and retained in a purchasing file without turning a guide into a supplier directory. Our ownership relationships are disclosed on the About page; this publication is not independent of the equipment-selling businesses in that portfolio.

We do not award unsupported star ratings, claim paid placements are independent recommendations or automatically route every purchasing decision to a related store. Any future paid or affiliate placement must be disclosed where it appears.

Corrections and revision records

Material revisions should describe what changed. Dates are not refreshed simply to make unchanged guidance look new. The reference-edition revision replaces earlier concept illustrations, adds decision summaries and worksheets, and makes evidence status explicit.

A named accountable editor and a public corrections channel still need to be established before promoting this publication as an expert authority. Until then, the guides remain source-based planning resources.
